Dear fellow theater lovers,

During these unprecedented times when there is still so much uncertainty, we here at OdysseyStage have been contemplating where we go from here.  Before the Shelter in Place orders came down we were hard at work on three separate productions: Our Radio Plays Live series The Thin Man, set for April/May; The Suffragist Project, set for May/June; and the NC 10by10, set for July.  Sadly all of these shows are now in limbo and we are not quite sure when we may be able to share these wonderful plays with you.

Theatre is an art form that is best enjoyed live and in person.  OdysseyStage wants  to assure that all who attend our shows are safe and feel comfortable so you can fully enjoy the experience.  Our audience is an integral part of every show we do, as we draw energy through your enthusiasm and participation with us.

And, of course, OdysseyStage wants all of our artists to stay safe and healthy.  The nature of rehearsal and performance makes it very difficult to maintain proper social distancing and it is near impossible to act while wearing a mask!   For these reasons we are postponing all productions until fall 2020 at the soonest.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have been supporting us over these last three years by coming to our shows, telling your friends, and supporting us with donations. Thank you!  We would also like to acknowledge all the hard work our artists, production crews, and producers have done for us.  We literally could not exist without all of you.

OdysseyStage will be back and we will let you know when we reschedule our shows.

We look forward to seeing you all at the theatre!

Annie Taft, President
